A bit more about me
My name is Ysella (also known as Izzey), Cornish born and raised. I love the sun on my skin, the sound of birdsong, citrus flavours, gardening, walks with my dog and being outdoors in all seasons.
I have counselling experience with students of Callywith College and Cornwall College, as well as Pegasus Men’s Well-being Centre CIC covering wide breadth of subjects and challenges.
More recently, I am an accredited sight loss counsellor (RNIB) and support 2Wish with bereavement counselling.
I am also a host for Sowena Cornwall CIC offering group sessions and workshops for their wonderful retreat days and wellness journeys.
I volunteer for Penhaligon’s Friends (a local Cornish children’s bereavement charity), and co-facilitate a support group for Georgia’s Voice - preventing suicide in young women aged 18-25 in Cornwall.
In other freelance roles, I am an Executive Director of Choose Nature CIC, whilst continuing to work in the outdoors with over a decade’s experience as Forest School leader and environmental educator, conservationist and mentor.
